Pope Francis in Indonesia amid tight security yesterday

The Pope is making history as the third Pope to make a historic visit to Indonesia after 35 years. After a 13-hour long and tiring flight, the Pope reached the first destination of his Asian tour, according to foreign media. It is further reported that he received a very warm welcome at the Jakarta International Airport.

It is also reported that during his three-day visit to Indonesia, the Pope is going to meet with the country’s Islamic clerics and diplomats. The foreign media said that in Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim country, strict security arrangements had been made for the Pope, and nearly ten thousand police and military personnel had been employed.
