Synopsis:
The Strayed Ones (Yabaniler) tells the gripping and emotional story of six siblings who are suddenly orphaned. Their journey begins in the southeastern city of Mardin and leads them to Istanbul, where they must navigate life’s harsh realities while trying to stay united.
Aziz, Semo, and Seliha—now the eldest caretakers—must look after their younger siblings, Fidan, Samet, and Balım. They head to Istanbul in search of a man they’ve never met but whom their father deeply trusted: Uncle Aslan.
As their paths cross with new people like Hazmet and Yusuf, the shadows of the past resurface, pulling them into even deeper struggles. At the heart of this drama is a powerful love story between their parents, Bala and Rıfat—an impossible love that began in a small Mardin village and left behind a legacy of strength and hope.
Though the dialogue is in Turkish, the story is universal. Anyone, from anywhere in the world, can feel the emotions, pain, and strength portrayed by the characters. It’s more than just a drama—it’s a reflection of resilience, family, and the will to survive.
If you haven’t started watching yet, I truly recommend it. This is a series that touches the soul and mirrors the real-life struggles that so many families face around the world.
